DNV provides developmental financing assistance and business services to small and medium sized entrepreneurs, both aboriginal and non-aboriginal, in Yukon and northern B.C. Programs include Canada Business Loan Fund, Youth Loans, Aboriginal Business Canada, Yukon Micro Loan Program and the Self-Employment Program.

DNV offers scheduled and customized training courses in entrepreneurship, business, finance, bookkeeping, proposal writing, computer software and personal planning.
Canada Select Accommodations Grading Program
Managed by: Tourism Industry Association of the Yukon (TIAY)
Canada Select is a national program that rates all types of accommodation, from hotels to B&Bs; to resorts, according to recognized 5-star industry standards. The program provides business operators with direct marketing tools and management tools and access to national research and trends.
Canada-Yukon Business Service Centre
Managed by: Yukon Chamber of Commerce
Housed at the Yukon Chamber of Commerce and also available online, CYBSC is a staffed resource centre and library that helps businesses with start-up, business planning, market research and other aspects of business development. Staff also provide referrals to government, association and private sector specialists. Free computer and internet access.
City of Whitehorse Tourism Services
Managed by: City of Whitehorse
The tourism branch of the City of Whitehorse promotes tourism in the Capital City. Relocation packages, brochures and information on tourist activities and attractions are available from Smith House in LePage Park. Staff provide hands-on support to new and established tourism operators and facilitate activites designed to bring visitors and businesses to Whitehorse.
Product Development Programs

Tourism Yukon’s product development unit offers workshops, provides tourism information and business counseling services to new and existing entrepreneurs, and supports industry stakeholders through product development initiatives including projects identifying best practices, codes of conduct and educational presentations.

Tourism Yukon’s research unit provides government and industry with relevant, accurate, and timely information. Research efforts are focused on providing sound scientific research, measuring the performance of government and industry promotional efforts, providing accurate, current market intelligence to capitalize on new opportunities that support industry development and maintain an accurate database of respondents.
Skilled Worker / Critical Impact Worker Program

The Critical Impact Worker and Skilled Worker Programs are employer driven; designed to assist Yukon employers, sectors or governments to identify and nominate potential qualified immigrants to fill positions that cannot be filled by the territorial or national labour market.
Tourism Development Program (French)

RDEE-Yukon at l’AFY facilitates skills acquisition, promotion, research and product development for the tourism sector. RDEE also supports collaborative and planning efforts in the Francophone tourism industry and the creation of partnerships. Services en francais.

Tourism Yukon’s marketing unit provides market intelligence, travel trade FAM tours, tourism marketplace, cooperative marketing, tourism e-marketing, and industry liaison services and programs.
Tourism Information Resource Centre (TIRC)

The Tourism Industry Resource Centre is a walk-in resource centre and small library located at Tourism Yukon. A wide range of current and historical research materials and publications relating to tourism development is available at TIRC including visitor statistics, reports and strategic documents, Yukon Tourism publications, books related to tourism development and information about best practices. The centre offers free internet access with tourism-related web sites book-marked and industry guidance on request.
Tourism Studies and Management Certificate

Tourism programming at Yukon College is designed to offer quality education for individuals who have a serious interest in establishing or enhancing a career in tourism and hospitality professions. Educational experiences extend beyond classroom learning to contact with industry professionals, field trips, case studies, practical fieldwork and co-operative work experiences.
Tourism Yukon Photo Library

Tourism Yukon maintains an image library that is accessible to industry under certain conditions. Users must accept terms and conditions of use and register to obtain a user name and password to access the library.
YTEC Tourism Training Programs
Managed by: Yukon Tourism Education Council (YTEC)
YTEC provides training and education products to tourism and service businesses in the Yukon. YTEC offerings include National Occupation Standards and Certifications and a range of tourism-related courses including Welcome Yukon, SuperHost, FoodSafe, WHMIS and Train the Trainer. YTEC is the northern representative of emerit, Canada’s seal of excellence in human resource products and services.
Yukon Business Development Project (YBDP)

YDBP is an innovative partnership, funded by government, between several agencies and organizations to provide selected Yukon companies with personalized business assistance. The program involves detailed assessments of the company followed by an intensive, custom-tailored business advisory process. YBDP does not provide direct funding assistance; advisory services are free of charge and companies are expected to pay costs required to implement development plans.
Yukon Business Nominee Program

The Yukon Business Nominee Program is designed to attract business expertise and investment capital to the territory. The Business Program has two components: an Entrepreneur category and a Self Employed category.
Yukon Convention Bureau Marketing Programs
Managed by: Yukon Convention Bureau (YCB)
YCB implements the meetings, conventions and incentive travel (MCIT) program for the Yukon. Members can participate in buy-in and co-operative marketing including advertising, joint participation in tradeshows and sales missions, and opportunities to showcase products and services.
Yukon Small Business Investment Tax Credit

The Yukon Small Business Investment Tax Credit (YSBITC) is a personal tax credit that reduces Yukon income tax for eligible investors who invest in eligible business corporations making qualified investments. The YSBITC permits eligible investors to claim 25 per cent of their investment in an eligible Yukon company as a credit on their tax return.
Yukon Venture Loan Guarantee Program

The Venture Loan Guarantee Program is administered by the Yukon Department of Finance in partnership with the five major banks, as well as Dana Naye Ventures and Business Development Bank of Canada. Applicants should contact the banks directly, not Yukon Government.
Yukonwild Co-operative Marketing Program

Yukonwild is a co-operative buy-in marketing program operated by the Wilderness Tourism Association for licensed wilderness tourism operators and for those businesses that provide adventure equipment rentals.
